On a heartwarming day at DPS Surajkund, we celebrated “Anmol Kahaniya,” a special occasion dedicated to the timeless bond between grandparents and their grandchildren. This day was a tribute to the cherished role that grandparents play in passing down wisdom, values, and love through the magical medium of storytelling. The event offered our little dipsites the invaluable experience of listening to stories rich in love and tradition, shared by the very pillars of our families—the grandparents.
One such memorable session was led by Mrs Neelu Balani, grandmother of Jaivir, a student of Montessori , who graced the occasion with her presence and filled the atmosphere with warmth. The event began with a serene prayer, sung by her , setting a peaceful and reflective tone for the morning. Her melodic voice carried a sense of calm, creating an atmosphere of reverence and connection with the divine.
Following the prayer, she recited a poem, which the students listened to with rapt attention. The poem, imbued with hues of faith, attempted to inculcate in children the assurity that they are cherished by the divine in all moments, who were visibly enchanted by the words and the soothing manner in which they were delivered.
This day will be remembered for the joy, respect, and warmth it brought, as our students experienced firsthand the invaluable guidance and affection that only grandparents can provide.
