Our school organized a “Back to School” event for parents of Pre-Nursery students on Wednesday, February 14th, 2024, providing them with a special chance to immerse themselves in their children’s educational environment and reminisce about their own schooling experiences. The primary objective of the event was to offer parents a first-hand understanding of our teaching methods and encourage their active involvement in their child’s education. The event kicked off with a lively hopscotch activity, mirroring the energetic start of our young Dipsites’ day.

The day continued with Circle Time where parents participated in action songs, a favourite among our students.  Vasant Panchami was celebrated in school with Pre-Nursery students leading the assembly and performing a special song to welcome the spring season. Headmistress Ms. Supriya Bakshi, along with parents and faculty lighted the lamp of knowledge and offered flowers to the deity of knowledge, goddess Saraswati.

A significant aspect of the event was fostering connections during breakfast time, emphasizing the importance of bonding and comfort among families. The day included an interactive storytelling session, “Nona Went to Park,” integrating curriculum elements like numeracy, language and disposition in a playful setting.

Art is an integral part of our curriculum. Our parents partnered with children in dabbling with paint enhancing artistic and communication skills while developing creativity, and decision making.

As a part of our PE program, a structured engaging physical activity session focusing on motor development through circuit games that enhance balance, and builds self-confidence was conducted for both parents and children. It further aimed to equip them with team-building skills, as well as fostering creativity and critical thinking abilities.

The memorable experience of the Back-to-School day came to an end for the parents with a happy dance on the favourite rhymes of our little Dipsites and creating a lasting impression of their day as students which will be a cherished memory for all.

Looking ahead, we are excited to foster further collaboration and enriching learning experiences for both children and parents, continuing to build a community of lifelong learners

The adage "All work and no play make Jack a dull boy" reflects our belief in the essential balance between academics and sports to unlock a child's full potential. This equilibrium not only fosters gross motor skills but also cultivates valuable personal attributes like teamwork, leadership, dedication, discipline, self-confidence, and self-esteem.

Sports, we believe, imparts crucial life lessons that academics alone cannot provide. Our Physical Education program is meticulously designed to support a child's physical, social, emotional, and intellectual growth. It encourages an appreciation for movement and the body's creative expression, fostering a positive attitude towards an active and healthy lifestyle. In the Foundation years, students engage in the Fundamental Skills Program, which teaches balancing, running, jumping, catching, and throwing while promoting hand-eye coordination through enjoyable team-building games.
