Learning is most powerful when students step outside the classroom and experience the real world. Educational visits bring concepts to life, spark curiosity, and help young minds understand how things work around them. At DPS Surajkund, we strive to provide such meaningful opportunities where every trip becomes a journey of discovery.
As part of our theme “From Classroom to Crosswalks” the students of Class II embarked on an exciting visit to a HDFC Bank. The students were introduced to the different sections of the bank—cash counters, cheque deposit desks, and the locker room where valuables are kept safely. Their eyes lit up as they watched how an ATM machine functions and understood its importance in daily life. The bank staff, including the branch manager, interacted warmly with the students, answering their curious questions and making the learning session interactive and fun.
The visit also helped the children build a basic understanding of financial literacy—learning the value of money, the habit of saving, and the role banks play in keeping money safe. These early lessons form the foundation for responsible money management in the future.
The visit turned out to be a memorable experience that blended knowledge with real-life exposure. Our little Dipsites returned with a deeper understanding of the role banks play in the neighbourhood and the importance of saving money. Indeed, this excursion was not just about banking—it was about building life skills and preparing students for the world ahead.
