A Celebration of Imagination, Expression, and Young Voices

Kathakalp – A Symphony of Stories, the Annual Cultural Presentation held on 1st  March 2026, was a vibrant literary celebration that beautifully highlighted the power of storytelling as a medium of learning, creativity, and self-expression. Thoughtfully curated for students from Montessori to Grade II, the event provided a joyful platform for young learners to explore, create, and present stories with confidence and enthusiasm.

In the weeks leading up to the event, the campus was abuzz with excitement as children immersed themselves in a rich world of stories through engaging activities such as oral narration, role play, visual storytelling, and creative expression. These experiences helped nurture imagination, language development, logical thinking, confidence, and empathy.

The programme was graced by our Chief Guest, Ms. Anchal Jain, renowned parent coach; Founder Patron, Mrs. Shail Bala Jain; Principal, Dr. Bindu Sharma; Headmistress, Ms. Supriya Bakshi alongwith other dignitaries. The event commenced with the traditional lamp lighting ceremony, invoking blessings for the occasion.

One of the key highlights of Kathakalp was witnessing our young Dipsites take on the role of storytellers with remarkable confidence. Through expressive voices, thoughtful pauses, and animated gestures, they brought stories to life and captivated the audience with their enthusiasm and stage presence.

The presentation celebrated storytelling as a powerful pedagogy and emphasised the importance of books and the values they impart. Through the timeless tales of Akbar-Birbal, Tenali Raman, and Vikram-Betaal, students showcased collaboration, creativity, and a deep understanding of character, plot, and moral learning. Teachers played a vital role as facilitators, guiding the process while allowing each child’s individuality to shine.

More than just an event, Kathakalp was a meaningful learning experience that reinforced the role of stories in helping children understand the world, expand vocabulary, and develop critical thinking. As the curtains fell on this beautiful symphony of stories, it left behind inspired minds, confident voices, and a lasting love for storytelling, truly reflecting the spirit of joyful learning.

The adage "All work and no play make Jack a dull boy" reflects our belief in the essential balance between academics and sports to unlock a child's full potential. This equilibrium not only fosters gross motor skills but also cultivates valuable personal attributes like teamwork, leadership, dedication, discipline, self-confidence, and self-esteem.

Sports, we believe, imparts crucial life lessons that academics alone cannot provide. Our Physical Education program is meticulously designed to support a child's physical, social, emotional, and intellectual growth. It encourages an appreciation for movement and the body's creative expression, fostering a positive attitude towards an active and healthy lifestyle. In the Foundation years, students engage in the Fundamental Skills Program, which teaches balancing, running, jumping, catching, and throwing while promoting hand-eye coordination through enjoyable team-building games.
