Delhi Public School, Surajkund, recently hosted an insightful Dental Awareness Session for parents and teachers, aimed at promoting preventive oral care and overall wellness within the school community.
The session was led by Dr. Ritika Virdi and Dr. Muskan Khandelwal, who emphasized the importance of early dental prevention, routine check-ups, and effective oral hygiene practices. “A healthy smile begins with early care,” shared Dr. Khandelwal, underlining how small, consistent habits can bring lifelong benefits. The doctors also advised parents on moderating sugar intake in children’s diets and suggested healthier alternatives to safeguard dental health.
Following the talk, a Dental Camp was organized, offering complimentary consultations to parents. The interactive platform enabled participants to seek expert advice, clarify concerns, and receive practical tips on maintaining children’s oral health.
Speaking on the occasion, Ms. Supriya Bakshi, Headmistress, DPS Surajkund, said:
“At DPS Surajkund, we believe that true education extends beyond academics. Physical wellness is the foundation of cognitive growth, and initiatives like these encourage families to adopt healthier lifestyles while supporting children’s holistic development.”
The initiative was well-received by parents and educators alike, making it an enriching step toward fostering both wellness and awareness in the school community
