“Riding the Rails of Fun” (Grade II)
All aboard the learning express!
Our Dipsites embarked on an exciting journey through the world of trains with the annual Project-Based Learning theme “Riding the Rails of Fun.”
Throughout the project, students explored different types of trains, the science behind their working, and their importance in everyday life through a series of STEAM-integrated and hands-on activities. Linked with the English text “A Ride in a Metro,” students learnt the steps of travelling safely and confidently, while engaging in creative tasks across English, Hindi, WOW, and Math — from buying tickets and solving real-life railway problems to learning signs, signals, and new vocabulary.
Highlights included Kavita Lekhan, Antakshari, train-themed pottery piggy banks, and a cheerful train song in music. A visit to the National Rail Museum added a real-world touch to their learning adventure.
The project culminated with confident Dipsites proudly presenting their PBL web to parents, showcasing their curiosity, creativity, and confidence — truly making it a joyful and enriching ride of fun and learning!
