DPS Surajkund recently hosted the Holly Jolly Art Festival, an interschool event that celebrated creativity and artistic expression. The festival witnessed enthusiastic participation from various schools, highlighting the vibrant talent of young artists.
Students were categorized into three age-based groups: Holly Hoppers (3–4 years), Jolly Jigglers (4–6 years), and Jingle Brushes (6–8 years). Each group engaged in a unique artistic challenge designed to ignite their creativity. While the Holly Hoppers and Jolly Jigglers showcased their colouring skills on pre-drawn sheets, the Jingle Brushes participants demonstrated both drawing and colouring abilities, crafting their masterpieces with dedication.
To ensure fairness, schools were assigned unique codes—Daisy, Poinsettia, Marigold, and Pansy—concealing their identities from the judges. This approach upheld the integrity of the competition.
The judging panel, comprising Ms. Asha and renowned artist Mr. Sanjay Punekar from outside school, faced the delightful challenge of selecting winners from the impressive array of artwork. Prizes were awarded to the top performers, while every participant received a certificate to acknowledge their effort and enthusiasm.
The festival emphasized the importance of participation, creativity, and the joy of learning over competition. It instilled in students the value of perseverance, positivity, and passion, inspiring them to continue exploring the vibrant world of art. The Holly Jolly Art Festival was not just an event but a memorable experience that left a lasting impression on all participants and attendees.
