Session-End Parent Teacher Partnership Meet

As the academic session 2024-25 came to a close, DPS Surajkund warmly welcomed parents to the final Parent Teacher Partnership Meeting (PTPM)—a reflective and celebratory gathering centred around each child’s Holistic Progress Card (HPC). This one-on-one interaction provided a meaningful opportunity to share the journey of growth, learning, and development that each student had undertaken over the course of the year.

The classrooms transformed into vibrant showcases of student creativity and effort. From numeracy and literacy to environmental awareness and expressive arts, the displays proudly reflected the hard work, imagination, and curiosity of the children across subjects.

Adding to the enriching atmosphere, a specially curated book fair by Niyogi Books was held on campus, encouraging a love for reading and exploration among young minds and their families.

The highlight of the day was Kalakriti—a grand and spirited art exhibition that celebrated the students’ creativity in its many forms. On display were both collaborative and individual artworks ranging from sustainable creations made with recyclable materials to explorations of renowned art styles such as Kandinsky, Van Gogh, Picasso, Warli, and Madhubani. The exhibition also included monthly theme-based craft and art projects, beautifully tying learning with expression.

As the students prepared to step into a new chapter, former class teachers gifted them heartfelt tokens—thoughtful takeaways symbolising love, luck, and fond farewells. Each classroom had a dedicated board adorned with messages of congratulations and good wishes, honouring the milestones and memories shared together.

The session-end PTPM was not just a culmination of the academic year but a celebration of partnership, progress, and the promise of new beginnings—a truly memorable and emotional closure to a vibrant year of learning

The adage "All work and no play make Jack a dull boy" reflects our belief in the essential balance between academics and sports to unlock a child's full potential. This equilibrium not only fosters gross motor skills but also cultivates valuable personal attributes like teamwork, leadership, dedication, discipline, self-confidence, and self-esteem.

Sports, we believe, imparts crucial life lessons that academics alone cannot provide. Our Physical Education program is meticulously designed to support a child's physical, social, emotional, and intellectual growth. It encourages an appreciation for movement and the body's creative expression, fostering a positive attitude towards an active and healthy lifestyle. In the Foundation years, students engage in the Fundamental Skills Program, which teaches balancing, running, jumping, catching, and throwing while promoting hand-eye coordination through enjoyable team-building games.
