Riding the Rails of Fun – A Visit to the National Rail Museum
Choo-Choo! Learning is more fun when the train of knowledge takes us on a new adventure!
Learning becomes truly meaningful when children explore the world beyond their classrooms. At DPS Surajkund, we believe such real-world experiences spark curiosity and deepen understanding.
As part of the theme “Riding the Rails of Fun,” the students of Class II visited the National Rail Museum, Chanakyapuri on 26th September. The visit offered a fascinating glimpse into the history and evolution of the Indian Railways.
The young Dipsites were thrilled to see vintage engines and train models, enjoyed a joyful ride on the mini train, and even had their tickets checked by a friendly TTE! Inside the museum, they explored various exhibits, tools, and railway models, and learnt about the Chenab Bridge, an engineering marvel.
The visit helped students connect classroom learning with real-life experiences while developing a better understanding of how railways work and their role in connecting people across the nation. It was a delightful journey of curiosity, discovery, and hands-on learning!
