“Books are a uniquely portable magic.” – Stephen King
DPS Surajkund celebrated National Book Week from November 24 to 28, 2025. As a part of it, students of Grade I enthusiastically participated in a Bookmark Making Competition on November 26, 2025. The initiative aligned with the school’s continued efforts to nurture a love of reading among young learners and to instil a habit of valuing and caring for books.
Inspired by the theme ‘My Fantasy World’, our little Dipsites showcased their creativity and imagination through vibrant, beautifully designed bookmarks. Children explored colours, patterns, characters, and imaginative ideas to bring their fantasy worlds to life.
Students were assessed on creativity, relevance to the theme, use of colours, neatness, effort, and overall presentation.
All students put in tremendous efforts and displayed impressive creativity. While every child’s work was appreciated, the best entries were recognised with certificates, celebrating their exceptional artistic expression and dedication.
The Bookmark Making Competition created an engaging and joyful atmosphere in the classrooms, where children worked with excitement and pride. Their delightful creations reflected their unique perspectives and growing artistic confidence.
DPS Surajkund continues to encourage such enriching experiences that strengthen students’ connection to reading and foster a lifelong passion for books.
