At DPS Surajkund, Earth Day was marked with deep respect, vibrant expression, and a heartfelt pledge to protect our planet. The school came alive in shades of green and blue, as students arrived dressed as elements of nature—trees, animals, flowers, and birds—bringing the beauty of Earth’s flora and fauna to life.
The day began with a spirited school parade, where students marched proudly with hand-made placards bearing powerful slogans. Their voices rang with purpose as they walked in unison, spreading awareness and echoing the message of environmental consciousness throughout the campus.
In a wonderful show of responsibility and teamwork, the children participated in a campus cleaning drive, carefully segregating waste into biodegradable and non-biodegradable bins. This hands-on initiative not only taught them the importance of cleanliness but also the practical steps of waste management.
Inside the classrooms, creativity bloomed as students engaged in craft creating Earth-themed artwork. Their ideas also found voice through speaking activities, where they shared thoughts and short messages about the importance of protecting nature and living sustainably.
The day concluded on a solemn and hopeful note, as the students came together to take a pledge to care for Mother Earth—to conserve, protect, and cherish the only home we have.
Through this immersive celebration, our young learners didn’t just observe Earth Day—they lived its values, gaining awareness and a deeper emotional connection to the world around them.
