At DPS Surajkund, we strive to extend learning beyond the classroom by providing our young learners with real-life, hands-on experiences. In celebration of World French Fries Day, students from Montessori and Balvatika I embarked on an exciting and educational visit to McDonald’s.
The purpose of this visit was to give children an opportunity to observe and understand how their favorite treat—French fries—is made. From seeing the raw ingredients to watching the fries being freshly prepared, the children were fascinated by the entire process. They also got a glimpse of how burgers are assembled and meals are served in a professional kitchen setup.
Beyond the food, the experience was rich in social learning. The children interacted with the friendly McDonald’s staff, practicing essential life skills such as greeting others politely, waiting for their turn, and expressing gratitude—all in a lively and welcoming setting.
The visit turned out to be the perfect blend of learning and joy, sharpening their observation, communication, and social skills while making beautiful memories. It was truly a day full of smiles, discovery, and delight.
