To promote awareness about wildlife conservation and celebrate the majestic spirit of tigers, DPS Surajkund observed International Tiger’s Day with great enthusiasm. The event was themed around the DPS Tiger’s Kingdom, offering students an immersive and educational journey into the world of tigers.
Students explored various species, including Bengal, Siberian, Caspian, and the extinct Smilodon tiger, through interactive displays and guided exploration. This fostered curiosity and enhanced their understanding of biodiversity and the vital role tigers play in the ecosystem.
An engaging storytelling session further enriched the experience, enhancing students’ listening, language, and imaginative skills. Across grades, children took part in a range of theme-linked activities such as story sequencing, character reflections, and creative expression through art and writing. These engagements supported narrative development, logical thinking, and environmental awareness.
The celebration successfully combined cross-curricular learning with a strong conservation message, instilling in students a sense of empathy, observation, and responsibility towards wildlife protection.
