Delhi Public School, Surajkund joyfully celebrated International Traffic Light Day with the objective of teaching our young learners the value of road safety and traffic discipline. The event turned into an engaging and interactive learning experience where our enthusiastic Dipsites confidently stood and explained important road signs such as Left Turn, No Parking, etc. This hands-on activity not only helped students identify the signs but also deepened their understanding of their role in ensuring smooth and safe travel on roads. A heartwarming highlight of the day was when students from Montessori to Grade II gathered together to take a pledge. With innocent voices and determined hearts, they promised to follow traffic rules and also guide their parents to do the same. The celebration also included discussions on road safety measures, where children learned the importance of following traffic signals, crossing the road carefully, wearing seatbelts, and respecting traffic rules. The day was a perfect blend of fun and learning, instilling in our young Dipsites the values of responsibility, safety, and awareness. At DPS Surajkund, such activities mirror the school’s ethos of child-centric and experiential learning, fostering individuality, building responsibility, and shaping children into lifelong learners and conscientious citizens.
