Indian festivals are a captivating tapestry of colour, tradition, and joy, reflecting the country’s rich cultural heritage. Our students celebrated Janmashtami with great enthusiasm at school.
On August 22, teachers presented a play about Krishna’s birth, which was thoroughly enjoyed and well understood by the students. The following day, August 23, the school was beautifully decorated, allowing the children to experience Janmashtami in all its colourful splendour. The celebrations were highlighted by a lively Dahi Handi activity and swings for their enjoyment.
Students dressed in traditional attire, and their vibrant outfits perfectly complemented the occasion, adding to the festival’s beauty. They were excited and happy about their costumes. The students also brought sweets to share with their friends and teachers, enhancing the festive spirit. Additionally, teachers helped children craft beautiful paper bansuris and ‘Mor Mukuts’ symbolic of Janmashtami. Children were excited to create their own.
The celebration was thoughtfully planned to enhance the learning experience, teaching students the value of coming together and sharing joy. This meaningful approach will undoubtedly have a lasting impact on them.
