DPS Surajkund marked National Mathematics Day with excitement and creativity, celebrating the birth anniversary of the legendary mathematician Mr. Srinivasa Ramanujan. Students from Montessori to Balvatika II explored the magical world of numbers through play-based, hands-on activities designed to develop mathematical thinking, problem-solving, and spatial awareness from early years.
Classrooms were alive with number games, puzzles, counting exercises, shape recognition, and sorting activities, while learning corners and movement-based challenges made math fun and engaging. Through songs, stories, and interactive tasks, children discovered that mathematics is all around them in everyday life.
The celebration fostered curiosity, confidence, and a love for learning, reinforcing the idea that math is joyful and creative. It was a delightful experience that strengthened foundational numeracy skills while inspiring our little Dipsites to explore and enjoy mathematics.
